Little Black Dresses for Summer

Whenever I do a closet purge, it’s always hardest for me to get rid of black dresses. It’s hard to beat a little black dress for an easy, classic look and they are so incredibly easy to style up or down. It’s a foolproof outfit idea for those mornings when you just can’t decide what to wear or you just couldn’t drag yourself out of bed in time.

I found this puff sleeve dress in the thrift store last week and know it’ll would be a staple for my summer wardrobe. The other morning I threw it on with my converse high tops (similar here) and a tote bag for school drop off and my coffee run. I changed into dad sandals and a crossbody bag for a trip to the mall.

I own this cut out midriff one in blue and it’s the perfect day to night dress when you’re on vacation. I also recently thrifted a slip dress similar to this one and love the versatility and seasonality of it. It is so easy to style alone, with a blazer/sweater/trench coat, or as a bathing suit cover up. This twill one would be perfect for traveling since it’s wrinkle resistant.

Years ago, when I worked in wholesale, one of my year round best sellers was a basic t shirt dress. This one is so similar and I love the swing hem. I love the wrap waist on this dress!
