Not only is autumn my favorite season in Korea, it is my absolute favorite season to dress for. I love the colors, the textures, the prints and layers on layers. Here are a few things I’m obsessed with for early fall weather.

SHOES : Mary Jane / Ballet flats

I’ll be wearing my favorite brown leather boots from last year but I’m loving a Mary Jane style ballet flat this year. It is the perfect casual shoe to pair with an ankle pant this fall. I’m obsessed with the Miu Miu and The Row options this fall but I found some other budget friendly options as well.

I love the chain detail on this Nine West pair. // This Sam Edelman pair is a classic and it comes in narrow and wide options as well. // This Steve Madden style has a designer look to it. I love the silver option.

BASICS : Cashmere Tees

There is nothing more luxurious than elevating your basic tee to a cashmere tee for fall and winter. A short sleeve crewneck is on my shopping list every fall. Over the last few years I’ve purged a lot of my gray sweaters so I’m looking to add those to my closet again. They’re also great for layering under a jacket without bulk but maintaining core body heat.

This silk/cashmere blend is nice for the South where fall is still pretty warm. // This one is a bit longer with almost an elbow length sleeve. Kinda love the bright green color. // This one is a slightly heavier option.

Prints / Textures

When I say I love fall for the prints and textures, I’m not kidding. I love plaids, furs, shearling, leather, suede, and corduroy. I especially love a plaid jacket because it’s such an easy way to style an outfit. You can throw them over jeans and a tee, a dress, a skirt and tank top - any basic outfit becomes elevated when you add a plaid jacket!

This Tov plaid trench is everything my dreams are made of. // This houndstooth handbag is still a favorite. I bought the coffee color last fall and wore it all the time. Looks so much like the Chanel 19 and I love the double strap. The threads did pull a bit but not in a way that bothered me. // I love the shoulders on this shearling jacket and the length of it. It’s not too long or too cropped. There are also so many great fall colors available! // This Lauren Ralph Lauren faux shearling vest looks so lush. It is pricey but if this is a style you’re into (I am) then you’ll so much use out of it.
