How to wear: miniskirts for fall
For the past few years I have loved living in midi length skirts and dresses and all of a sudden I have been dying to wear minis instead. This summer Zara had an adorable denim one and months later I’m still kicking myself for not buying it. As a mom I need clothing that is easy to move around in, not restricting, and doesn’t show EVERYTHING off when I bend down. Skorts to the rescue! I love the look of a skirt with the coverage of a short. Here are a few ways I’ve styled both skorts and skirts recently.
Here are a few super easy, casual, on-the-go looks. I’ve paired the skort with my favorite chunky sweater and matching chunky booties. Love a lug sole for walking endlessly around town. I’ve also paired it with my favorite light sweater and knee high boots to elevate this look. This look can seamlessly switch between day and night by adding some fun jewelry or a heavier layering piece. If the Oxford tennis shoes and tank top are too casual for you, throw on a chunky sweater for layering and running errands.
Here I’ve dressed the skort up a bit with a long coatigan and a blazer. I love how effortless it looks with a basic long sleeve tee and gorgeous croc print boots. I’m obsessed with mixing black and browns and sticking to a neutral color palette makes it easy to pair these pieces together and look chic. Throw in a plaid with a fun clutch and you have a perfect girls night out or date night look.
I paired this skirt with my favorite lightweight sweater and dad sandals for walking around in the warm weather. I also love how it looks with a matching cropped jacket and I did a fun spin by pairing it with chunky boots and knee high socks. The tonal look makes them appear like knee high boots.
